The striking evergreen leaves on a Contoneaster tree are glossy and silky all year round and the mass of white flowers in spring with its branches laden with cheerful bright red berries in autumn and winter contrasts beautifully.

Weeping Cotoneasters or Hybridus Pendulus are small garden trees with long branches that arch down to create a dome of weeping, evergreen branches. The Contoneaster’s polished, dark green leaves are very small but make a good foil for the white flowers that flourish in June-July and the clusters of red berries that follow in the autumn.
