A french rose bred in 1860, Comte de Chambord is a great favourite and with good reason as it is one of the best. A deep pink cupped rose with the outer petals softly curling and translucent and the inner ones forming a quartered shape. This rose has a strong sweet fragrance and repeats well, coming in small tight clusters on sturdy stems and opening to a beautiful flower.

A little history for those who are interested. The Comte de Chambord (1820-83) was the last ligitimist King of France, Henri V.

This rose was bred in his honour, rather romantic.
