Native Trees

Trees have been revered since the beginning of time. In fact it is only in our most modern history that there has been so little regard for trees, animals and the environment. We generally think and put ourselves first. More trees have been chopped down in the last few decades than at any other time of peace.

It is up to us to plant trees, to help ourselves and help the balance of nature. Native trees flourish in their chosen lands because the climate suits them and our wildlife and flora need them to survive. Although it is wonderful to have an Olive tree in one’s garden do not forget the Oak, Ash, Beech, Silver Birch, Rowan, Flowering thorns and other trees of our countryside.
Say a hurrah for Great Britain and plant a native tree.
