The English Yew is an evergreen with fern-like dark green leaves on branches growing horizontally. It makes an impressive and magical specimen tree in large gardens and parks. Famous for topiary, it is easily clipped to any shape. Very helpful for birds and little animals.
Yews are fully hardy but good drainage is esential. They will happily grow in sun or shade.
